The Henan Art Center presents CELEBRATING THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA · LYU SHAOHUA’S LARGE-SCALE LANDSCAPE PAINTING EXHIBITION.
Held in the Zhengzhou CBD Art Center on September 23, 2009, the exhibition showcases over 150 monumental works by the renowned painter Lyu Shaohua, marking both the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 55th anniversary of the artist’s creative career.

In this grand presentation, Lyu Shaohua continues his lifelong dialogue with the traditions of Chinese shanshui painting while expanding its expressive boundaries. His sweeping compositions and intricate brushwork convey not only the majesty of nature but also a profound patriotic sentiment rooted in the cultural spirit of the new China. Through the interplay of ink, rhythm, and atmosphere, Lyu’s works embody the union of artistic mastery and national pride.

Jointly organized by the Henan Provincial Publicity Department, the Henan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Henan Artists Association, and the Henan Chinese Painting Academy, the exhibition reflects both artistic excellence and historical commemoration, reaffirming Lyu Shaohua’s position as one of the leading figures in contemporary Chinese landscape art.
